The Dynostar ETB400 Ti is specially designed for the kart tuner, but also a good engine testbed for those that work with Enduro and MX engines. As this testbed can perform dynamic tests, next to the classic and well known static tests, you have the option to check besides engine performance also its carburation, airbox and exhaust! Develope fuel maps, optimize the air intake circuit or redesign your exhaust. This is a very versatile dynamometer!
Other nice features are the large volume of coolant which is temperature controlled, a 12VDC starter motor with automatically charged 12V battery, a flywheel with 3 different inertia options, sequencial dynamic testing with automatic throttle control, lambda and exhaust gas temperature monitoring. If you choose to have 60 degree Celsius coolant temperature it will stay that during all tests. You can start each engine with one 'Push on the button'. Choose the best inertia to fit your engine. Make repeatedly tests to ensure consistancy in your engine performance. When using a two-stroke engine you use exhaust gas temperature as a trigger to start each test run automatically.
All is fitted inside the very heavy and rigid chassis. As all rotating dyno parts are well balanced, hardly any vibration is noticed from the chassis. Only the engine with its exhaust might show some vibration which will be absorbed by the various shock mounts. Behind the testbed we provide an exhaust gas funnel which you need to connect to your extraction system.
The Dynostar ETB400 Ti dashboard is complete. All items you can think of are provided. Emergency brake, coolant pump control, coolant temperature control, dyno control and starter key. Just make a dedicated wiring harness for each engine and connect this with the terminal block and you are set to go.
Mounting an engine is easy. As we speak for the kart engine we provide the twin bar mounting like 30 x 90 mm or 32 x 92 mm. Other specific engine mounts are possible on request. Select a sprockets and chain setup to connect to the dyno axle. Connect the engine wiring to the terminal block. Connect the throttle cable after choosing manual or automated throttle control. Connect fuel from your own fuel supply. In your exhaust you can put a lambda sensor and a temperature sensor from which the data is shown in the graphs afterwards. Even gear shifting and clutch control are provided with this dyno.
